A Mom's Fear : When Baby Falls Down the Stairs

Baby Z

A day ago I posted on my FB page about how my 9 month old could easily climb the stairs within a minute. I was so proud and gay about it. Baby Z has now improved on his motor skills. I could tell that he's a perfect climber. He taps on the stairs first then climbs his way up the stairs. I guess he's curious on what he would see on the second floor.

Then, this afternoon something terrible happened.  Baby Z fell down the stairs. I blame myself  for trusting on my mother's instinct that I can be attentive of him every minute. I feel so horrible. Whenever, I watch news on TV about some babies or kids having accidents, I would often say a nasty comment about how irresponsible their parents are. I never imagined that my own baby/kid would be on the same scenario.

Children see what you do

Ever wonder why some children shout at their own parents? Do you ever wonder why they talk back at their elders? Children see what adults do. When they see, they do.

I have personally experienced being shouted upon by my firstborn when he was a still a toddler. I was really mad when he shouted at me. I felt humiliated, disrespected and hurt. Then, I asked myself, "Where does he get this kind of attitude?" Then, I remembered shouting at him when I was cranky or when he was too messy with his food.  He might have felt humiliated. He might have felt hurt too.

From then on, I stopped shouting at him. When he does something wrong, I ask him if he thinks it was right or wrong. I do my best to let him understand his own mistakes by talking to him and not shouting at him.

This kind of approach influences him. He shows me more love and respect. He refrains from shouting at us, his parents.

Below is a clip that would show you how children see, and how greatly the adults they live with influences their behavior. Feel free to watch it. :D

Rush wedding

"Marriage is not a noun; it's a verb. It isn't something you get. It's something you do. It's the way you love your partner every day." - Barbara De Angelis

How to earn while you're at home?

I've resigned from my job more than  2 years ago as a call center agent. It was a decision, my partner and I made, because our firstborn was growing fast. We couldn't find a nanny for him too. And, it was also hard for us to leave him under someone's care, whom we didn't knew at all.

My son is turning 4 years old now and I just gave birth to another baby boy 6 months ago. My husband works his ass off for 8-9 hours per day for 5 times a week just to give us our needs and for the bills.  People wonder how do we manage our expenses if only one of us has a decent job? Well, I earn too. I earn too, believe it or not.

I'm a stay at home mom but I have lots of ways to earn money. I'm going to share it to you in this post.

The day He called me "Mama"

Being called "MAMA" is one of the milestones a Mother celebrates! Just a while ago, our "bunso" woke up and started to cry. I was busy on the pc updating my new Facebook page for my online business. He  cried loudly and so I immediately went to him. He was beside his Kuya M and was looking for me when he said, "MAMA".

My heart leapt with joy! He called me MAMA for the first time! :D  I know every Mom who experienced this can relate to me. I also felt the same joy when my firstborn M called me "MAMA". :)

Anyway, Baby Z had been a very good baby. He doesn't cry that much. He cries when he wants to have his diapers changed or when he wants to feed. I've been exclusively breastfeeding him for 5 months now and everyone can see how healthy and happy he is. :D

So, till next time. I've been quite busy with my online business. You can check my page OVER OF UNDER for branded undergarments.

Thank you!
